Ever wonder what happens to all those recyclables that you so carefully separate out from your household trash each week & leave at your curbside for pickup? Here’s your chance to discover what happens next! Join us for a behind-the-scenes visit to the Larimer County Recycling Center & Landfill, where we’ll see where those truckloads of materials go & learn how recyclable items are processed.  We’ll also explore Larimer County’s waste management practices & pick up practical tips & ideas for starting our own composting systems at home. You may come away with a whole new appreciation for what happens after the garbage truck pulls away—and some great ideas for reducing waste in your own household!  Must be able to walk short distances & climb approximately 20 stairs (a brief detour around the stairs is possible).  Contact Terry Barrett at tbarrettt2@gmail.com for more information.
