Chihuly at the Gardens . . . At Night!

Thursday, October 16, 3pm to 10pm

The Denver Botanic Gardens is hosting the Rocky Mountain Region's first major outdoor exhibition of artwork by celebrated American artist, Dale Chihuly. Chihuly is credited with elevating glass from craft to fine art. He is renowned for ambitious architectural installations around the world, in historic cities, museums and gardens. Chihuly's sculptures – ranging in size and form – will add bold colors and dramatic beauty to the Gardens' 24-acre urban oasis.

And now you can experience Chihuly at night! Sculptures will be illuminated for a unique nighttime perspective. Even if you have visited the Chihuly exhibition during the day, you will not want to miss this magical experience.

Our motor coach will leave the Senior Center at 3pm on Thursday, October 16 and will return around 10pm. The cost is $50 person, which covers the coach and the entry fees. We will stop for dinner or dessert on the way home but that expense is not covered.

We are also trying to set up a short program on Dale Chihuly and his art that would be held a day or two before the trip. There will be more details on the program if and when we are successful.
Space is limited to the first 25 people who register. Registration opens on August 13. (Registration #405958-02). Please register and pay for the trip at the Senior Center front desk.
