Topics will cover the Arab and Atlantic Slave era, the Colonization of the Congo, Independence, Dictatorship and the current state of this country. It is a study of chaos, carnage and plunder. Where is the most lawless region in the world? The Congo. What country has had more people killed in conflict than any other place since World War II? The Congo. Where has four of the 25 most horrendous atrocities in the history of the world occurred? The Congo. One of the these atrocities occurred when most of us were already members of the FRF. Why do we know so little about this? What has America's involvement been in these atrocities? Participants will be required to read King Leopold's Ghost and to give a presentation.
