Front Range Forum goes to the Movies

The Twinberry Theater at the Fort Collins Senior Center is the venue for our next movie playing on Wednesday, November 13th. Doors open at 1:30 pm, the movie starts at 2:00 pm. There will be free popcorn available. Following the movie, a facilitator-led discussion will allow viewers to participate in a dialogue on the film.

Directed and written by Tom McCarthy, this is a moving story that makes the issue of immigration personal. Walter (Richard Jenkins) owns an apartment in New York that he rarely visits.  One day he returns and discovers a young couple living there, Tarek and Zainab, migrants from Syria and Senegal, who thought they were legally renting the place.  Soon, they become friendly and Tarek’s mother comes to visit and tries to help them settle legally.  But complications appear and difficult questions arise when they are confronted by how immigration laws are applied. 104 min.
