Colorado is a dry state, where every drop of water truly matters. To protect & extend this limited resource, wastewater reclamation plants play a critical role. Public understanding of how these facilities operate is central to their mission. On this tour, we’ll explore that mission firsthand, learning how wastewater is treated, the technology involved, & the daily challenges these facilities face. Must be able to use stairs. Parts of the facility are loud & may have unpleasant odors, & parts of the tour take place outdoors. 5-15 participants.
