Triumph of the Triangle – A Rescued Downtown

Description - We often take Ft Collins’s downtown historic district for granted, but in the 1970s many historic buildings were almost razed to make way for a highway bypass. Local historian Meg Dunn will guide our group through our downtown, explaining the history of some important buildings & how forward thinking resulted in the impressive downtown that we enjoy today. Requires about a ½ mile walk & some standing. (A lightweight portable chair might be helpful.) Optional dessert at an Old Town eatery after the tour. Minimum 5, maximum of 20.
