Front Range Forum goes to the Movies

The Fort Collins Senior Center is the venue for our next movie playing on Wednesday, October 10th. Doors open at 1:30 pm, the movie starts at 2:00 pm. There will be free popcorn available. Following the movie, a facilitator-led discussion will allow viewers to participate in a dialogue on the film.

George Clooney writes, directs, and acts in this movie starring David Strathairn as Edward R. Morrow. In the early 1950s, the threat of Communism created an air of paranoia in the U.S. and exploiting those fears was Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin.  However, CBS reporter Morrow and his producer Fred W. Friendly (Clooney) decided to take a stand and challenge McCarthy, exposing the fear monger he was.  Although their actions took a personal toll on both men, they stood by their convictions and helped bring down one of the most controversial Senators in American history.  90 min.
